While the new moon is all about new beginnings and setting goals, the full moon is about accomplishment and celebration. We can harness the energy of the new moon to gain momentum towards creating new identities for ourselves. With the new moon, we start. With the full moon, we reach completion. It's important to acknowledge that completion and the best way to do that is to truly anchor in the new identity that we have worked towards. Taking note that some of the changes we have been making are actually sticking, and not only sticking, but that who we are has changed. It’s not just a change in habit, but a change in how we identify ourselves. You didn’t develop a new habit, you shifted into a new way of thinking. With the full moon, we anchor that in; acknowledge that we are no longer the same version of ourselves as we once were. A ritual that can help this is process is a couple of journal prompts to help clarify what you’ve accomplished.
Journal Prompts:
I anchor my mind, body and spirit into my new identity as _________. (example: I anchor my mind, body and spirit into my new identity as a content creator, or a reader, or a business owner)
I step into this new reality of ________. (example: I step into this new reality of love, abundance, gratitude)
Meditation
Take a deep breath in through your nose, out through your mouth. As you exhale, relax into your body. Take another deep breath, and as you breathe out, relax your shoulders. Again take another deep breath in and on this last exhale, relax into your new state of being. Relax into your own safety, into your own confidence. Relax into your own nurturing soul. There’s no longer tension in your body. There is no longer doubt. It may come to visit from time to time, but it no longer lives within you. You are safe. You are whole. You are enough. And with the blessing of this full moon I anchor in this new state of being. This new state of wholeness. May I and all under the moon’s light receive her blessings tonight.
